Who We Are

The Ocean City PTA is made up of parent volunteers who strive to enhance the welfare and create a more inclusive environment for all Ocean City Primary and Intermediate School students. We are a private, member-driven 501(c) (3) organization that adheres to the guidance provided by the New Jersey PTA. The OC PTA is part of a state-wide network dedicated to advancing the welfare of all children and helping them reach their full potential. 

As the oldest and largest child advocacy association in the state, the New Jersey PTA is committed to making "every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children".

Research has shown that stronger parent/teacher involvement in children's lives helps students: 

• earn better grades

• score higher on tests

• have better social skills

• show improved behavior

• show more positive attitude toward school and family

• graduate and continue their education on a higher level.

Mission

The mission of the OC PTA is to enhance the welfare and create a more inclusive environment for students of the Ocean City Primary and Intermediate Schools. Through hosting events and fundraising, we hope to provide a positive and lasting impact on all our children.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is made up of the elected PTA Officers and the Chairs of each Standing Committee. Committee Chairs are appointed by the Board of Directors and all work must be approved by the Board.
